Candle Love
Signature scents are one of the easiest styling touches to elevate your home, and what better way than with candles! We have an unending addiction to these accessories - not only do they provide a beautiful finishing touch to any styled moment, they’re also one of the easiest and ‘always well received’ gift ideas (hint, hint!).
Whether you’re looking for ‘fruity’, ‘fresh’ or ‘warm and relaxing’, introducing a scent in to your home can instantly improve the ambience. Just be sure not to light too many scented versions in the same room; scatter amongst a mix of unscented candles and you’ll be able to enjoy the beauty of a warm glow without feeling overpowered.
We narrowed down some of our faves this month:
Cire Trudon, the OG of the candle world. Founded in 1643, it’s one of the oldest wax-producing factories in the world and once provided candles to Louis XIV.
With a higher price tag, this is a luxury purchase, but one you won’t regret. Our favourite is the classic ‘Ernesto’ and is guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser. With a base of amber, oak wood and patchouli topped with bergamot, it is a heady scent not to forget.
Fun fact, the molten wax is hand poured into the vessel which takes its shape from champagne buckets.

With their signature stylish shape and design, this premium candle brand is a show stopper and guaranteed to have your guests talking. Their extensive range of different styles and scents mean you are guaranteed to find one to suit your home and mood. Be warned, you’ll likely love their matching diffusers just as much as their candles. Our current go-to is Black Pearls.

Who doesn’t love a Dyptique candle…or Dyptique anything for that matter? Another beautiful gift idea, or simply a treat for yourself (no need to explain - we are firmly in the self-care camp). The Parisian company believe that fragrance and art are integral to everything, and we can’t disagree.
Everyone has their favourite signature scent; ours are Baies and Feu de Bois.

Local Dubai brand ‘The Gloe Company’ launched in 2020 and have quickly created quite the following. Their handmade candles are a blend of natural ingredients, with pure coconut and soy wax paired with vegan aromatherapy fragrances. The best-sellers are crystal-infused, for a daily dose of positivity, inner peace and abundance.

Quaint are local to Dubai and offer 100% natural soy wax candles (and free delivery within the emirate). Their candles burn clean with no soot or smoke.
We love them for their styling potential – you may not be able to bring yourself to light them they’re so pretty. It’s hard to choose, but we think our favourite may be the ‘Bubble’.

Dubai-based company, The Muse, offer one-of-a-kind artisanal candles and coasters, which are perfect additions to every home. Their soy-based designs fuse modern art and classic culture, and if you’re a fan of the Renaissance era, you’ll love their ‘busts’.
